Accel Partners invests in Pi Ventures’ maiden VC fund

Venture capital firm Accel Partners has invested an undisclosed amount in early-stage venture fund Pi Ventures. Pi Ventures backs early-stage startups that focus on solving problems in healthcare, logistics, retail, fin-tech and enterprise sectors using artificial intelligence, machine learning and Internet of things.

Retail tech startup Mobisy Technologies raises bridge round

Bangalore-based Mobisy Technologies Pvt Ltd, which operates supply chain automation platform Bizom and mobile marketplace app Distiman, has raised $382,000 in a bridge round from existing investor Ojas Ventures and two undisclosed angel investors. The fund raised will be used to expand Distiman geographically and scale up Bizom’s operations.

Lyft acquires Pune-based startup FinitePaths

Ride-sharing app Lyft has acquired Pune-based startup FinitePaths for an undisclosed valuation. Following the acquisition, the app built by FinitePaths will be shut down and the cofounders will join the Lyft team.

Pregnancy & baby care products startup The Moms Co. raises seed round

Amishi Consumer Technologies Pvt Ltd, which runs pregnancy and baby care products firm The Moms Co, has raised an undisclosed amount in seed funding from co-founder of food startup Fingerlix and beverages firm PaperBoat Shripad Nadkarni, Nestle executive Nandu Nandkishore, and senior partners from McKinsey. It will use the funds for consumer research, brand-building, team expansion, inventory management, and to partner with e-tailers like Flipkart and Amazon.
