Cashback & analytics firm Zaggle buys Pennyful

Cashback and analytics company Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services, which offers cashbacks to customers at restaurants, has acquired Bengaluru-based online cashback and coupons company Pennyful in a cash-and-stock deal. The Pennyful team of 15 members will join the 115-team at Zaggle, especially to augment the latter’s digital marketing and product technology team, primarily for their consumer-focused business.

Smart scooter maker Twenty Two Motors raises $1.6 Million angel funding

Gurgaon-based Twenty Two Motors Pvt Ltd, which is working on rolling out its first smart scooter, has raised funding in a pre-Series A round led by Ishwar Singh, chief executive of Haryana Group of Industries. The funding will be utilized to develop and test its prototype, hire across verticals and set up its factory.

Lending firm Capital Float raises $2.3 Million from Mahindra’s NBFC arm

Cookware brand Wonderchef raises INR 40 Crore

Wonderchef, a kitchen appliance and cookware brand promoted by celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor, has raised INR 40 crore from French group Labruyere Eberle. The funding will be utilized for a new manufacturing unit and expansion into new segments.

Paytm backs healthcare startup QorQI

Digital payments and commerce platform Paytm has invested an undisclosed amount in QorQI, an online healthcare startup. Started in 2014, the Noida-based startup uses artificial intelligence (AI) and big data to improve the productivity of doctors along with helping patients to manage their health and existing ailments better.
