Craft beer maker B9 Beverages Pvt Ltd has raised a round of growth capital from one of its existing investors.
PharmEasy, the Mumbai-based pharma platform, has raised a Series B funding of $16 million in a round led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Orios Venture Partners. This is the second round of funding the healthtech startup has raised. It had last year raised $5 million.
Mumbai-based Jhakaas Technologies Pvt Ltd, which runs the Jhakaas app that aggregates local offline businesses, has raised INR 1 crore (around $154,000) in seed funding from a clutch of investors. The investors are: Mumbai-based management consultancy firm Stelcore Management Services Pvt Ltd; Malini Patel, country manager, Bloomberg Data Services Pvt Ltd; CP Sanadhya, director at housing finance company India Shelter Finance Pvt Ltd; and Anjani Prasad, managing director at colour and specialty chemicals company Archroma India.
Online grocery store BigBasket (Supermarket Grocery Supplies Pvt. Ltd) has raised INR 45 crore from venture debt firm Trifecta Capital to meet capital expenditure requirements, even as the company talks to a host of investors to raise at least $100 million (about INR 650 crore). The funds will be used to set up new warehouses and facilities for reprocessing fruits and vegetables, and for strengthening the cold chain infrastructure.
Avendus Capital, most widely known for its investment banking services in the digital space, will soon launch a digital and technology-focussed fund.
