StylFlip, a marketplace for pre-owned fashion has received credits worth $40,000 from Facebook as part of its FbStart Program. The credits received will be used by StylFlip to avail various tools and services from Facebook to further build and market the StylFlip platform to their target audiences. StylFlip also gets to leverage benefits across Facebook’s partners such as Amazon Web Services, Mailchimp, DropBox, Zendesk besides others as well as a suite of open sources and analytics tools.
PaisaWapas an ecommerce deals platform aimed primarily at students has raised an undisclosed amount of angel funding from Vividhity Ventures, a group of IIT BHU alumni and senior Infosys and Dell executives. Set up in April 2015, Paisawapas claims to have two lakh monthly visitors and said it generates Rs 1cr in sales every month for partner websites.
Bengaluru-based Hansel Software Pvt Ltd, which operates real-time mobile app management platform Hansel has raised funding in a round led by IDG Ventures.The funding will be utilized for developing cross-platform capabilities, hiring and expanding presence in the North American market.
News Corp-backed real estate website PropTiger has merged with Housing in an all-stock deal. As part of the deal, the combined entity will raise $50 million from News Corp-owned online real estate advertising company REA Group and another $5 million from Japan’s SoftBank, the primary investor in Housing.com.
Bangalore-based online marketplace for driving schools, Drivekool, has raised an undisclosed amount in angel funding from US-based Aavya Ventures. The funding will be utilized to expand operations to new cities in Maharashtra.
