Global venture capital firm Quona Capital, which recently launched a $141-million fintech-focused fund for emerging markets, plans to invest about 30% of the fund’s corpus in India. Quona Capital, which was earlier an entity within Accion called the Frontier Investment Group, has split and is now a separate entity.


Hyderabad-based Palred Technologies Ltd (formerly Four Soft Limited) has raised about Rs 22 crore in its latest round from both new and existing investors.The funding will be utilized to meet growth capital requirements for its subsidiary LatestOne.Com, a vertical focused on e-commerce that sells mobile accessories online. Besides this, the company also plans to use the funds to create additional fulfillment centres, brand building, inventory, building B2B channels and to further develop the managed marketplace.


On-demand home services provider Frapperz has raised $100,000 in seed funding from a group of investors led by an Australia-based healthcare entrepreneur. Frapperz curates home services professionals for a slew of handyman services as well as for photography, home décor and electronics. It is operational only in Kolkata.
