Fastudent, an education e-commerce platform that sells everything from textbooks to stationery for students, has raised an undisclosed amount of Pre-Series A funding from a bunch of investors. The startup will be expanding to private schools in other markets like Bangalore, Pune and Mumbai by 2017. Fastudent has 200 institutes in the the NCR region as clients and hopes to add another 1,000 in the near future.


Mumbai based technology startup Market Mojo has raised Rs 2 crore in funding from a high net worth individual which put the valuation of the company at around $10 million. The company has developed its own algorithm which tracks all the 4000 companies which is not done presently by any of the broking houses thereby allowing these companies to expand their research horizon.


Silicon Valley-based cloud backup and data protection firm Druva Inc has raised $51 million (Rs 340 crore) in a new round of funding led by existing investor Sequoia Capital India. The funding will be utilized to accelerate both product innovation and adoption, while enhancing product capabilities across Druva’s secure cloud platform. In addition, the capital will be used to further drive sales and marketing, and continue the company’s global expansion.
