GoCoop Solutions and Services Private Limited which runs social marketplace for cooperative enterprises GoCoop has received investment worth $830,000 from former Infosys vice-chairman Kris Gopalakrishnan and Saha Fund. Launched in early 2012, GoCoop.com’s or Global Collabration Platform for Cooperatives’ marketplace acts as an aggregator of listed enterprises. It is a social marketplace to buy and source handmade apparels, home furnishings, fabrics, crafts and more directly from weavers and artisans.
Delhi based Neuron, a machine learning platform for text analysis has raised an angel round of $200,000 led by Harvinder Bhatia, CFO Netmagic and founder of Radiowalla. The funding will be utilized for R&D in machine learning and Natural Language Processing and for hiring talent.
AppSay, a business communication platform, has raised seed funding of $150,000 from Venture Catalysts in an investment round led by Shreyans Shah and Mayank Shah of Toyochem Laboratories. AppSay is a customer engagement platform that helps protect customer information of businesses and also the privacy of users.
Kolkata-based healthtech startup, Tiyo, run by Labsense Technology Services, has raised $120K in angel funding from veteran entrepreneurs from Middle East including Anish K & Ajith Nair, CEO iAdepto Global.The funding will be utilized to further develop patient care technology and consolidate sales efforts. The startup plans to foray into Tier I and II markets by 2017. It plans to roll out in 10 more cities including Chennai, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, by the end of this year.
