IDG Ventures, Paytm founder back fashion rental startup Flyrobe

Online fashion rental portal Flyrobe has raised INR 35 crore in its second round of funding led by IDG Ventures, with the participation of Tokyo-based GREE Ventures and existing investor Sequoia India. The funding will be utilized to expand to five more cities including Hyderabad, Bangalore, as well as to strengthen technology, product and business teams.

Nutanix acquires software deployment solutions startup Calm.io.

Enterprise cloud solution provider Nutanix has acquired the Sequoia-backed startup. This offers a platform for smooth transitioning of software and applications to their newer updates. It has 43 employees. Its engineering team operates out of its office in Bengaluru.  Calm.io, which facilitates most of its engineering work from India will continue to provide the dedicated support experience via the Calm.io support portal, which will remain available as the Calm. io team will work with Nutanix to develop the next generation DevOps automation for Enterprise Cloud.

Quintillion Media, others back matchmaking app for differently abled Inclov

Gurgaon-based matchmaking app for differently abled Inclov has raised Rs 1 crore (around $149,000) in a seed round of funding from Sarbvir Singh, former MD of Capital 18, and media entrepreneur Raghav Bahl- led digital news venture Quintillion Media Pvt Ltd. The funding will be utilized for redesigning the Android app and launching the iOS version soon. The company aims to go global with the app.

Foodpanda eyes fresh funds, may opt for sale

The embattled Rocket Internet-backed Foodpanda, which last year saw allegations of internal fraud and misappropriation of funds being levelled against its top management, is learnt to be in the process of raising fresh capital. The company recently mandated Mumbai-based mid-market investment bank o3 Capital for a $40-60 million fund-raise as it initiates talks with investors.

Denmark’s Sophia Investment backs farm-tech firm CropIn

CropIn Technology Solutions Pvt Ltd, a Bengaluru-based company that makes farm management software and apps, has raised $2 million  from Denmark’s Sophia Investment ApS. The funding will be utilized to hire staff in the marketing, operations and technology segments. The company  plans to develop its ‘SmartFarm’ application for real-time monitoring and management of farm operations.
