BeatRoute Innovations has raised an undisclosed amount in pre Series-A funding from Quarizon Consulting Services. BeatRoute is a mobile app platform facilitating last-mile retail between packaged goods companies and distributors and neighbourhood stores.

DSG Consumer Partners, Deepak Shahdadpuri-led consumer-focused, early stage venture capital firm, has led a $225,000 seed funding round in motorbike rental venture Tazzo Technologies. Tazzo is an on-demand delivery platform for renting self-drive bikes. The Hyderabad-based startup provides location-based motorbike delivery and pickup service, and allows users to track the availability of two-wheelers at the nearest station, while also allowing them to request for free delivery and pickups, through its app.
Local language content platform Dailyhunt has raised $25 million (Rs 168 crore) in a new round of funding led by China’s Bytedance, itself a content aggregator in China, which is backed by investors like Russian billionaire Yuri Miliner’s DST Global and social media major Sina Weibo.
Online baby products seller Firstcry is acquiring Mahindra Retail, which runs offline stores under Babyoye brand, for about INR 362 Crore in a landmark deal in the Indian retail market. The Pune-based startup, will acquire the franchisee division of Mahindra Retail, part of the $18 billion software to automobiles congolmerates Mahindra & Mahindra.
