Fashion discovery app Findow raises seed round

Fashion discovery app Findow has raised an undisclosed amount in seed round from Raj Singh Bhandal, director at Next Media Works. The app launched in July 2016 and connects brands, boutiques and retailers with shoppers on its location-based platform. The platform also has an in-built marketplace for registered brands to reach out to shoppers.

Google’s Rajan Anandan backs ed-tech firm Stoodnt

Stoodnt, an educational-technology firm which facilitates interaction between students and admission counsellors or educational institutions, has raised $300,000 (Rs 2 crore) in seed funding from Google India managing director Rajan Anandan. The funding will be utilized to enhance product capability and user experience and to expand sales and marketing teams.

Kaya agrees to acquire 75% stake in two UAE skincare firms

Skincare firm Kaya Ltd has agreed to acquire a 75% stake in two dermatology centres based in Dubai and Sharjah to expand its presence in the United Arab Emirates.The acquisition will strengthen the company’s network of clinics in the UAE region and add a new set of customers to the existing base in the region.

Kalaari Capital-backed Grabhouse in talks with Oyo, NestAway for buyout

Home rental start-up Grabhouse is looking for a buyer as the company is struggling to scale up its business. Cryptopy Technologies Pvt. Ltd, which runs Grabhouse, has initiated talks with online hotel aggregator Oyo (Oravel Stays Pvt. Ltd) and online home rental start-up NestAway Technologies Pvt. Ltd. The deal is likely at about $5-8 million.
