IDG Ventures along with Michael & Susan Dell Foundation has invested Rs 25 crore in intra-city logistics startup Blowhorn in a series-A round. Existing investors in the startup Draper Associates and Unitus Seed Fund also participated in the round.The funding will be utilized to expand operations to eight cities in the next 24 months with over 25,000 daily active drivers.
The accelerator has picked subscription app Supr Daily, which delivers daily consumable goods such as milk, bread and eggs to users. As part of the accelerator programme, Supr Daily has raised $120,000 from Y Combinator, and is also part of its three month mentorship programme in Silicon Valley, which ends this month.
Delhi-based cold pressed juice maker MyGreens has acquired JusDivine for an undisclosed amount in an all equity deal to gain entry into the Mumbai market. The deal values the merged entity at INR 20 crore. The merged entity will operate under the MyGreens brand and look to launch operations in Mumbai this month.
Flipkart backer Accel is leading a $10-million series-B funding round in AgroStar, a mobile commerce platform for farmers to procure raw materials. The funds raised will be largely focussed on technological upgradation, which includes prioritising building technological capacities in-house, expanding across states in the country, besides focusing on hiring in areas of technology, marketing, data science and analytics.
Early-stage fund Parampara Capital, post its announcement of a tie-up with IDFC Alternatives, the private equity arm of IDFC Group, has announced its first investment in NCRbased cyber security and cyber intelligence startup Data Resolve Technologies. The funding will be utilized for scaling up sales and tech teams, executing expansion plans across India and the Middle East and for launching innovative products.
