Food delivery platform Runnr has raised $7 million (Rs 47 crore) from existing investors Blume Ventures and Nexus Venture Partners. Runnr was formed after on-demand logistics startup Roadrunnr acquired troubled food ordering startup TinyOwl in June.
Chennai-based self-publishing startup, Notion Press, has raised $1 Mn in Pre-Series A funding from undisclosed HNIs. The deal will help the platform consolidate its market leadership, strengthen its management team and expand its services in the market. The funding will be utilized to intensifying coverage across India and fuel operations internationally.
Noida-based on-demand talent marketplace, Zolo, has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Switzerland-based Software company Hitouch AG.The funding will be utilized to expand to other cities after establishing base in Delhi-NCR. Also, Zolo intends to add more categories and services to its portfolio. Apart from the funding, Zolo is a continuous cash flow model currently making 7-10% on every transaction.
LoanTap Financial Technologies Pvt Ltd, an online non-banking financial company (NBFC), has raised $3 million (INR 20 crore) from Mumbai-based high-net-worth individuals Abhishek Pandey and Jaysukh Sapra. 85% of the funding will be utilized to extend loans and the rest to strengthen its technology and marketing.
Mitra Biotech Inc, a biotech company that develops and provides technologies that personalize cancer treatment, has raised approximately INR 184 crore in a Series B round of financing led by Sequoia India and Sands Capital Ventures.Mitra Biotech is engaged in supporting personalized oncology therapy selection and drug development. Founded in 2010, Mitra is based in Boston, and maintains a significant research and laboratory presence in Bengaluru. The funding will be utilized to expand the availability of its CANScript service, which predicts personalized responses to cancer treatments.
